Like the Flexon, the new Krypton is a close-fitting, three-piece construction consisting of lower shell, cuff and signature Flexon shell-tongue, which plays a key role in the way it flexes. Plake replaced the unwieldy closure system with more conventional buckles, lowered the ankle hinges and sculpted his creation into a thing of beauty. But what shines through is the Krypton's smooth, progressive forward flex, likely to please bumpers and huckers in particular.
